About Shropshire Girls & Women's Football League 

Shropshire Girls and Women's League was formed after running independently for many years before the Shropshire Girls League and Shropshire Women's County League became one in 2010/2011. The amalgamated league offered football for females from U9's to u17's. A total of 23 clubs with 56 youth teams (810 players registered in our first season.  Fast forward and 2021/2022 season was an overwhelming success for SGWFL. A total of 26 clubs, 96 youth teams and an outstanding 1353 registered players means we have now taken the huge step going into 2022/2023 for single year age groups U8's through to U16's. 

​To date the 2022/2023 boasts a total of 26 clubs, 110 youth teams and 1473 registered players.

Our Goal - 
To establish a Shropshire Girls & Women's League enjoyable and competitive for all, to ensure the environment is safe, fun and approachable for existing and new members be them players, coaches or volunteers. 

Our Vision - 
To increase the number of players from Shropshire transitioning into senior level football. 

Our Aim -
To provide coaches and volunteers the necessary tools to continue the development of all players.
